Well, another year another chase trip under my belt. This year's chase trip was my latest in the season so far of all the chase trips I've gone on since 1998. This was primarily due to the National bowling trip to Reno, Nevada I had planned for the period June 6-9th. Ordinarily, I prefer to take my chase trips around June 2nd through the 14-15th or thereabout. A later trip typically means a bit lower chance of seeing tornadoes, but the opportunity at photographing beautiful storms stays pretty high -- just shifted north more towards the northern High Plains. That was exactly where we (myself and Vince Miller) spend pretty much all of our time. Our trip began with 4 great storm days of the first 5 days of the trip with supercells photographed each of those 4 days (21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th)...from northern and western Nebraska to northeastern Wyoming through far southern Montana.
