Two photography lifer sparrows: Swamp Sparrow and Le Conte's Sparrow. Douglas County, KS. 15 October 2017 | | | Although I managed to photograph two sparrow species I've never photographed before, it was a pretty crummy day. My 600mm lens began to have serious auto-focusing images right after I took the image of the Swamp Sparrow. I felt quite dejected after this happened, and decided to cancel the rest of my shooting day and head back to Dodge City. The northwest wind behind the front in the morning was also a bit stronger than I was hoping for, so the combined events left me in a pretty sour mood. Nevertheless, it was good to at least partially get what I was after, even if the quality of the images were less then stellar. Onward! | (click on thumbnail for pop-up of larger images)
