Synopsis: This was quite the productive day of wildlife photography. I started the morning out in Wichita photographing a lone Snowy Egret (√) in excellent morning light along the Arkansas River at Sim Park. After running some errands in town, I left for Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira. At Cheyenne Bottoms, I photographed Forster's Tern (√), Cattle Egret (√), White-faced Ibis, Snowy Egret (√), Ruddy Duck. At Quivira species photographed were American Avocet, Double-crested Cormorant, Wilson's Phalarope, American Pelican, Great Egret (√), Stilt Sandpiper (√), Barn Swallow, Killdeer, Blue-winged Teal, Least Sandpiper (√), Killdeer (√), Snowy Egret, Great Egret, White-faced Ibis. |
