 | | Location: Southern Ford County, Kansas
Shoot type: Wildlife # of images: 1 | Synopsis: I went out birding with Jeff Calhoun to investigate some of the water areas after a recent wet period. We came across several playas with water in them and noted a number of shorebird species. The Yucca Rd. Playa (northwest of Minneola) held decent water and a lot of Black Terns as well as a raft of Eared Grebes. Near the playa we came across a small family of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. Species photographed: Killdeer, Greater Yellowlegs, Double-crested Cormorant, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Eared Grebe (distant raft), Black Tern
