  | | Location: Overland Park Arboretum, Kansas
Shoot type: Wildlife # of images: 4 | Synopsis: This was my first visit to the Overland Park Arboretum. I went out there with my brother and his girlfriend (they and I were in town for Thanksgiving) and hiked around for a little. We stopped by the bird blind along one of the trails within the arboretum where they have several feeders set up. In the late afternoon when we visited, the feeders were very active with Cardinals, Tufted Titmouse, Blue Jays, Black-capped Chickadees, and a Purple Finch. I will need to stop by here more often!

     | | Location: Quivira National Wildlife Refuge, Kansas
Shoot type: Wildlife # of images: 3 | Synopsis: I did a morning and afternoon shoot at Quivira NWR. The morning was far more productive, where I photographed an amazing 11 Whooping Cranes in one spot foraging in the flats on the very north end of Quivira NWR. I also had some good shooting of Sandhill Cranes flying out along with some Bald Eagles.

I also got some decent shots of a whitetail doe staring me down.
