Synopsis: This was my one visit to the refuge in Winter 2016-17. I made the trip to Kansas City for New Years and decided to spend a day shooting Bald Eagles, among other avian wildlife as the weather forecast looked promising for a good shoot. This was certainly the case, especially in the morning despite early morning temperatures in the mid 20s. The hottest activity was at the Cattail Pool on the east side of the refuge drive, where a majority of my keepers from the day were shot of Bald Eagles, Mallards, and Trumpeter Swans |
