Synopsis:
This was my first ever visit to this refuge, and my emphasis was on Sandhill Cranes which typically roost in a fairly large bay on the north side of the refuge. Along Eagle Roost Trail is an observation blind on the northeast edge of the bay, which is a fairly good spot to observe and photograph cranes (and other birds) from. I had fairly good backlight at sunset, which was the primary emphasis of this shoot. |
