Synopsis: This was a fairly productive day shoot at Quivira. I started at sunrise choosing to shoot from the the jetty on the east side of Big Salt Marsh. Species photographed on this day shoot included: First observed Whooping Crane of the season (very distant), American Coot, Eared Grebe (√), Northern Shoveler, Ruddy Duck (√), Vesper Sparrow, Franklin's Gull, Least Sandpiper (√), Great Blue Heron (fishing (√)), immature Northern Shrike (√), American Avocet (√), Green-winged Teal (√), Ring-billed Gull (√) |
