Awesome, indeed – never have seen pictures like this in my entire life; been reporting the weather for the last 22 years to meteorologists in Tyler, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. Calvin Wade

How many people get a rainbow and a tornado in one shot? Nice.

Spectacular Mike… I knew when I saw you out there yesterday that some amazing imagery was on its way. You certainly didn’t disappoint. What an incredible storm.

When you named your website “underthemeso” several years back, I wonder if you foresaw the future or if it was just fortuitous. Either way, these awesome shots certainly were underthemeso!

That 2nd picture tehre is breath taking. So are a couple others showing the chasers a little to close. I watched video from Andy on this storm and he must of been in front of you and they were so close it was unsafe. Glad to see you are staying back a safe distance Mike. I would hate to stop seeing your great photo’s and nobody can get the breath taking shots like you do.

The most photogenic tornado of 2010, and will probably end up in the top 10 of the decade, easy. I’ll never forgive myself for missing this as long as I live, but thankfully someone of your photographic talent and skill was there to capture it!

Charles Grillo: I just went through your images from 31 May. Wow, you guys really were just up the road. I have a good close-up shot of a white van passing me by on the highway with the tornado in the background crossing the road, that I guess was part of the Todd Thorn chasing group? I’ll have to upload it to my blog. It may very well have been your van, I don’t know.

Mike: It would be agood to see that close up as we did have 2 white vans in the group (couldn’t find it in your blog..)
If we passed you, I probably have you on video too..
