supercell with TVS signature 30 miles west of us near Karval, CO

Finally catching the storms that are “tail end charlie” after driving
for awhile off of I-70. Two adjacent supercells west of us, we are
driving west currently for the intercept.

  1. Would be curious what the storm SW of Punkin Center looked like–we had 120+ kts gate to gate at 6K AGL for sveral KPUX scans!

  2. Hey Stan, thanks for the comment. We were watching that velocity couplet on level3 radar. It was very interesting, and we wished we were closer at the time, but by the time we got close enough, the storm had already done most of its duty.
